Congratulations Jama!

Now for the announcement, this will be the last week at the Color Carnival site. Next week, please come to Maria's Space to participate. I will have a button set up for Color Carnival at the top of the screen to make it easy to find. The reason for the move is, things have gotten busy. Last month I took on a social media position for a company called Babybindle, started a social media company called Buzz Chic and handle Twitter, Facebook for all three! It has been impossible to remember everything I need to post, review, host giveaways, book reviews, DVD reviews, my kids, husband and life. There is only so much I can do and the week just gets away from me. If I place Color Carnival one Maria's Space where I am daily, it will be one less thing I have to try to remember. So, with all that said, I hope you follow me to Maria's Space next week for Color Carnival. But, until then...here we gooooooooooooooooo

FYI, I just wanted to let you guys know that next week, I head to the hospital for surgery. I go in on Tuesday the 14th and believe I will be out before the weekend but I am not certain. I will post something to go up next Friday so you all can share your beautiful pictures. I apologize for being absent but my health issues have been bad since May and this surgery is happening because of complications from my situation over the summer.

Hey everyone, my name is Maria and I run a blog called Maria's Space.

As a participant of Color Carnival over the past few months, it was sad to think of only seeing those cheerful photos at the end of the week, once a month.

When I saw that Martha was looking for a new host for Color Carnival, I thought...why not?

As someone who runs two blogs already taking on a new one is a bit daunting. Martha gave me Admin rights and the blog shows up in my dashboard and seems easy enough however, I would really love to bring Color Carnival over to my blog but I also want to keep you happy. The participants of Color Carnival are really what matters. You guys make the meme!

Please let me know what you think and I will consider all suggestions. Do you prefer it kept here or can I take it over to Maria's Space where I have placed a button on the top right corner which will bring you right to Color Carnival.

Hopefully there aren't too many kinks along the way!

First things first, I hate to say this but the Color Carnival is looking for a new home. As much as I love this meme, photography and blogging overall have had to take a backseat to everything else I have going on in my life. I don't feel it's fair to all of you to only post monthly and I feel terrible about not having time to visit each participant personally. My Color Carnival photo this week was taken recently at a local festival, the first annual Suncoast BBQ Bash. What fun!

We'll be starting something new here this week - voting for a winner! This is a BETA testing tool by our awesome friends at Inlinkz. As I mentioned last week I'll be mixing things up a bit here at Color Carnival. I'm trying a new linky system called Inlinkz thanks to Vicky from Clips-n-Cuts. If I've done everything correctly you should be able to add the link to your blog along with a direct link to your photo which will show up here as a thumbnail. Be patient with me, this is all brand new to me too!

My photo for this week below is a colorful piece of art work from one of the students where I work.

Our new Inlinkz should appear below. Lets try it out!

Edit - A couple notes now that I've tested it myself and know how it works - when you click to play you will enter the URL of your post, your name and your email. After that you will click "next" which will show images available on your post. It's ok if you prefer to use your profile photo/avatar, but it would make a beautiful display if you click the image that you are using for your Color Carnival photo. So far I love the new Inlinkz!

It's been another beautiful week here at the Color Carnival! Thanks to all who played along.

As much as I know everyone likes the collages, I am going to be mixing things up here for a while. Visits to each others Color Carnival posts haven't been very good lately - and that is the whole point of a meme isn't it? Not to mention, life has been getting in the way of my blogging lately. I've been so busy and finding that getting the collages put together and up on time is becoming more of a chore than enjoyment lately, that's not good either.

I'm going to put up the Mister Linky for Color Carnival #33 as usual, but next week will only be my own Color Carnival photo and the Mister Linky like most memes while I decided on what kind of changes I'd like or need to make here. Be sure to visit the other players this week since photos will not be featured!

I'm open to any suggestions from all of you.

Now that the busy month of December is behind us the Color Carnival is back to a regular weekly meme. The posting day and time will remain as it was previously - Every Friday at 6pm EST. It's been another beautiful, colorful week!

I mentioned last week that I'd be taking the month of December off from posting here. I've decided to put up a Mister Linky so you can all continue to participate all month long while I'm gone. You can play every day, weekly, once for the month or whenever you happen to get a great colorful shot. Play as often as you'd like! No limits, no rules :-)

You can still visit my random postings at my main blog Menagerie through December along with my posts every Monday at The Krazy Kitchen, and also on Mondays at The Motivation Station!

The Color Carnival will be back and in full swing on January 1st, 2010! Happy, colorful holidays to all!

I have to apologize to everyone who played on the Color Carnival this past week - when Mister Linky closed this evening it didn't post as links. I can't visit the links tomorrow to create a collage and if you hadn't already visited the other players you can no longer link to them either.

If you happen to catch this entry in time you can relink in the comment section so others can find your post and I guess I'll just post my own photo for tomorrow's Color Carnival and we'll start over.

The photo above is a mural on a wall in Venice Florida. It's a long wall surrounding a mobile home complex with all different colorful circus scenes running the entire length. Venice was once the winter home to the Ringling Circus.
